Sharks Coach Ifereimi Tawake has reached the semi final of the Colonial Cup in the past 3 years as the coach of the Stallions and the Crusaders.
He coached the Stallions to become the first team to win the title in 2004 and was in charge of the Crusaders when they reached the final in 2005 and 2007.
Now under a new team the former national number 8 wants to stamp his mark by becoming the first coach to win the title for the North based franchise team.
This week his side will take on point leaders, Highlanders on Saturday at 3pm at the Post Fiji Stadium and a win will guarantee a place for a spot in the semi-final at home.
In other games the Stallions and the Crusaders, both face a must win situation to remain in contention for a semi-final spot, the game will kick-off at 7pm on Thursday at Prince Charles park.
