Asinate Serevi will be starting for USA team Scion 7s team at the 2019 McDonald's Fiji Coral Coast Sevens competing for the Na Iri Trophy next month.
This was confirmed by Tournament Director Jay Whyte who says that they are expecting good competition from Women’s teams in the tournament.
Whyte adds that Serevi who is the daughter of Sevens Legend Waisale Serevi will bring her length of experience in to the game and this will help a lot in growth of rugby in the country.
The first 6 women’s team to be officially declared as participants competing for the Na Iri Trophy are the Striders, Hong Kong, Fijiana 7s, Marist Sea Hawks, Stars USA and Scion.
Forty two teams will be participating in the Tournament including 16 men’s, 10 women’s and 16 youth teams.
The four day 7s tournament will be held from the 16th to the 19th of next month.
