Samoa’s Rugby Union Chair and Prime Minister Tuila’epa Sa’ilele Malielegaoi has revealed that Fiji’s rugby great Waisale Serevi is among the 29 applicants to become head coach for the Manu Samoa sevens side.
Serevi was a guest at the Samoa Independence International Sevens tournament in Apia earlier this month where he expressed an interest in helping Samoa.
Tuila’epa said former Manu Samoa veterans Brian Lima and Uale Ma’i have also applied, along with former Manu Samoa sevens assistant coach and manager Tauasa Faamaoni Lalomilo.
