Two Fijian athletes, Elenani Tinai and Miriama Senokonoko have been awarded scholarships to study and train in the U.S.
Tinai was awarded an Oceania Australia Foundation Scholarship to study and train in the U.S while Senokonoko was offered a full scholarship by a U.S College.
Tinai says she counts herself lucky to be awarded the scholarship as this will allow her not only to improve her times but also concentrate on her studies.
FASANOC Chief Executive Lorraine Mar says that it is important that both athletes to do well not only in athletics but also academically.
The two athletes flew out of the country last Wednesday.
