South Africa 7s team speedster, Seabelo Senatla is the World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year 2016.
He was nominated alongside Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau and France 7s player Virimi Vakatawa.
Senatla scored sixty-six impressive tries in the 2015/2016 HSBC World 7s series.
This is the second year in a row a South Africa 7s player has won the World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year.
Werner Kok won last year.
Meanwhile, England flanker Maro Itoje is the World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year 2016
Other awards:
For his continued services to rugby, Springboks legend Jean de Villiers has been awarded the International Rugby Players Association Special Merit Award.
For all he has given to the sport of rugby, former Ireland rugby player Syd Millar has been awarded the Vernon Pugh Award for Distinguished Service 2016.
Rugby Opens Borders has won the 2016 Award for Character, for all the amazing work they have done this year.
Fiji has also been nominated for two other awards and they are yet to be announced.
They are the World Rugby Coach of the Year Award and World Rugby Team of the Year Award.
Gold medal winning coach, Ben Ryan is nominated for Coach of the Year while the Vodafone Fiji 7s team is nominated for Team of the Year.
The awards that will soon be announced are:
1. International Rugby Players Association Try of the Year
2. World Rugby Woman’s Player of the Year.
3. World Rugby Referee Award.
4. World Rugby Coach of the Year.
5. World Rugby Team of the Year.
6. World Rugby Player of the Year.
