All Black Sam Cane is back running after suffering a neck fracture during last year’s Rugby Championship.
Cane posted a photo on his Instagram of himself running, writing "good way to start the New Year, first time getting into a jog in over 3 months".
The openside flanker broke his neck in the 32‑30 win over the Springboks in Pretoria in October last year.
The 26‑year‑old, who remained in South Africa for surgery, said in November that he was planning a return to rugby in May with the Chiefs, potentially in the last four or five rounds of Super Rugby.
The Chiefs will begin their Super Rugby campaign against the Highlanders at 6.35pm Friday the 15th of next month.
