Defending Champions of the Vodafone Cup, the Sabeto Roosters have claimed the title of Fiji National Rugby League Nines Tournament after defeating Coastline Roo’s 10-6.
Sabeto Roosters defeated USP Raiders 1 in the quarterfinals 18-4 and demolished Topline Warriors in the semifinals 24-8.
On the other hand, Coastline Roo’s had defeated Namuaniwaqa Sea Eagles 12-8 and beat City Storm 14-12.
The Sabeto Roosters win $1000, runners up Coastline Roo’s get $500 while Topline Warriors and City Storm get $250 each.
Meanwhile, FNRL Executive Chairman, Peni Musunamasi says that the next Nines Tournament in November will be held in Nadi to cater for clubs in the West.
