A number of top athletes from Suva Grammar School are in doubt for next week’s Coca Cola games due to injuries.

Grammar head coach Jone Delai confirms this includes senior boys top contender for the 200 meters and 400 meters Kemueli Waqa and sprinter Frances Kirikirikula who were injured during training.

The other two athletes are inter-girls 400 meters runner Tailah Ah Yuk and senior girls 200m sprinter Litiana Sukanabose.

Delai said their final decision will be made on Monday whether these athletes will take part or not.

Delai said that coaches should decrease the level of training they give their athletes since they had more time compared to last year.

Meanwhile, the Suva Grammar School Ex-Students Association hosted a dinner last night for the Athletes to show their support and donated $900 to assist them in their preparation.

The association also launched new uniforms for the athletes.

The Coca Cola games will be held next Thursday and Friday at the ANZ Stadium.
