With the final day of the Fiji Bitter Marist 7's today, Vodafone Fiji 7's coach Ben Ryan kept his focus on the discipline of the players.
Ryan said late, dangerous and high tackles was the main area that many developed players need to work on if they want to excel in their rugby career.
Ryan is hoping that Army Green captain and national sevens rep Isake Katonibau will recover today after facing a knee injury in their last pool game.
Meanwhile the teams that stood out yesterday are the Tokatoka Westfield Babas, CK Ezy Buy Tabadamu Blue, defending champion Wardens Gold, Wardens Green, Police National, Army Green, First Landing from Veiseisei Vuda and tournament host Marist Red.
Ryan was impressed with the Westfield Babas after they thrashed Gumatua 47-7 in their first pool game, outclassed Nakorolailai 48-0 before beating Tabadamu Two 31-10 in their last pool match.
The Westfield Babas then thrashed Sorokoba in their first elimination 35-0.
Ryan believes the Westfield Babas will be hard to stop with the services of Vatemo Ravouvou, Waisea Nacuqu, Pio Tuwai, new find Josaia Wini and Samuela Saqiwa.
Looking at the Tabadamu Blue, veteran Setefano Cakau said they will regroup again before their elimination clash with the underdogs Yasawa Island Stingers.
Also looking forward to their match today is the First Landing side from Viseisei, Vuda.
Team Manager Ifereimi Naruma believes that playmaker Setareki Ritova and rover Ilisoni Tavaiqia have the qualities to be in the national team.
The second main eliminations kicked off at 9.20am today with Wardens Gold beating PWD Bure 19-0, Ratu Filise One takes on First Landing at 9.40am, Tabadamu Blues faces Yasawa Stingers at 10am, Tokatoka Westfield Babas will meet Nawaka at 10.20am, Police National faces First Light Taveuni at 10.40am, Army Green will battle against Red Rock at 11am, Gaunavou takes on Hideaway Hurricanes at 11.20 while Wardens Green will play Marist Red at 11.40am.
