Russia expected to be worst side to host World Cup however they have proven people wrong

Russia have had one the best starts of any host side in the FIFA World Cup even though they are the lowest ranked team in the World Cup.

They are currently ranked 70th.

They were expected to be one of the worst sides ever to host the World Cup however they proven a few people wrong.

Russia had beaten Saudi Arabia 5-0 and Egypt 3-1 respectively.

Their qualification to the knockout stages will be confirmed tomorrow if Uruguay avoids defeat against Saudi Arabia tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in Group H matches today, Japan beat Colombia 2‑1 while Senegal overcame Poland 2‑1.

In tomorrow’s matches, Portugal will play Morocco at 12am, Uruguay will play Saudi Arabia at 3am while Spain will play Iran at 6am.
