Russia beats Egypt 3-1 in their second Group A match

Russia have beaten Egypt 3-1 in their second Group A match in the FIFA World Cup.

Denis Cheryshev and Artem Dzyuba scored two goals while the other goal was an own goal by Egypt.

Mohammad Salah scored for Egypt through a penalty.

Russia is in a perfect position to qualify to the knockout stages as they have two wins and have also scored 8 goals.

Their qualification to the knockout stages will be confirmed tomorrow if Uruguay avoids defeat against Saudi Arabia tomorrow.

Egypt had lost their first match 1-0 against Uruguay last week while Russia had thrashed Saudi Arabia 5-0.

Meanwhile, in Group H matches this morning, Japan beat Colombia 2-1 while Senegal overcame Poland 2-1.
