Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson is confident veteran playmaker, Cooper Cronk will be ready to play in next Sunday’s NRL grand final against his former club the Melbourne Storm.
Cronk injured his left shoulder in a legal tackle from opposite number Adam Reynolds in the 40th minute of last night’s 12‑4 preliminary final win over South Sydney.
The 34‑year‑old received treatment throughout the half‑time break and bravely played out the second half despite being severely hampered by the injury.
Robinson says Cooper knows how he is and he needed to get work done at half‑time and he was always going to go back out there, but it looked pretty sore.
The Roosters will face the Storm next Sunday in the NRL Grand final.
