Rooney dropped from England soccer squad

Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and Theo Walcott have been dropped from the England soccer squad that will play Germany in an international friendly next Thursday.

Coach Gareth Southgate has called in 34-year-old Jermain Defoe as a cover in the strikers position.

Other players that are included in the team are Jamie Vardy, Jesse Lingard and Marcus Rashford.

Meanwhile, in the English Premier League, Arsenal will play West Brom at 12.30am Sunday.
