The Best FIFA Men's Player, Cristiano Ronaldo will lead Portugal's charge at the FIFA World Cup having been named in the squad for Russia, but there's no place for Renato Sanches in the 35‑man preliminary group.
Ronaldo will skipper the side again, as they go in pursuit of more glory.
There are 11 names in the 35 who made the final squad for Brazil in 2014, including Bruno Alves, Nani and William.
Portugal are the reigning European champions, so they will have high hopes of going all the way this summer.
The final 23 is expected to be trimmed down in the coming days.
