Stuart Lancaster has dropped Chris Ashton from his Elite Player Squad in order to make room for the Fijian-born, Royal Scots Guards serving soldier Lance Corporal Semesa Rokoduguni.
The 27-year-old has that X-factor appeal, an eye-catching talent with his surging runs and bewitching feet.
Lancaster is aware that England needs to score tries through their attacking back three to trouble the superpowers of the game.
Rokoduguni, who has served in Afghanistan, has been in the Army for seven years and they have granted him leave of absence to play for Bath although he still does duties during the offseason.
Rokoduguni could find himself lining up against his countrymen in the first match of the 2015 Rugby World Cup when England open the tournament on September 18 against Fiji.
Meanwhile, England plays New Zealand at Twickenham on November 8.
