Playmaker Rocky Khan who has links to Ba and Rotuma will make his return in the New Zealand 7's team.
Khan has been named in the All Blacks 7's team for the new World 7's series.
Meanwhile, Scott Waldrom and Tomasi Cama have named one debutante in the New Zealand men's side to play the opening two tournaments of the World Rugby Sevens Series, in Dubai and Cape Town.
Jonathan Ruru is the new man, joining a youthful squad led by captain Scott Curry.
Experienced trio Lewis Ormond, Joe Webber and Sam Dickson are out through various injuries, while Teddy Stanaway is suffering from concussion and the likes of Gillies Kaka are playing overseas.
Core players such as Curry, DJ Forbes and Tim Mikkelson remain in the squad.
Waldrom says they are excited to bring back some players who have previously played sevens who have thrived in the Mitre 10 Cup, and also introduce some new talent to international rugby.

New Zealand will play Russia at 8.36pm next Friday in the Dubai 7's. Meanwhile, Fiji will play Canada at 7.52pm next Friday in its first match.
