Robert Elder wins Team Fiji's 1st gold in the Men's Recurve Archery event

Robert Elder has won Team Fiji’s first gold medal in the Men's Recurve Archery event at the Pacific Games in Samoa.

Elder won the men's recurve with 986 while Tahiti took silver and bronze.

Meanwhile, in the Women’s Compound Competition, Fiji’s Lisa Leota had to settle for silver as New Caledonia won gold while Samoa got bronze.

Fredrick Leota settled for bronze in the Men’s competition as New Caledonia completed a gold and silver double.

Meanwhile Fiji has settled for bronze in the Pacific Games Men’s 500 metres Va’a competition.

New Caledonia got gold while Wallis and Futuna settled for silver.

The Women’s 500 metres team failed to get a medal.
