It’s a dream come true for Rewa’s new goalkeeper, Apete Ravudolo who has lived up to the expectations of the Rewa fans after top choice goalkeeper, Benito Waqavou could not make it to Lautoka due to work commitments.
The NZOTC Rewa defeated the Professional Valuation Suva 2-1 in their first 2018 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants match.
The 20-year-old who began his career playing in the U10 Rewa team has dedicated this win to his parents in Nakelo, Nausori.
Ravudolo says he was prepared to represent his team and had decided to be confident as he had walked into the pitch today.
The Man of the match was Sairusi Nalaubu who says the team felt the absence of Setareki Hughes and Amani Makoe who will not be able to play in Rewa’s group matches.
Meanwhile, Nadi beat Dreketi 4‑0.
Nadi’s goals were scored by Napolioni Qasevakatini, Josevata Dugucagi and Rusiate Matarerega .
Nadi and Rewa now have three points each in group A.
