The Rewa soccer team is through to the final of the Inkk Mobile BOG after the side beat Labasa 1-0 in the first semi-final.

Infront of close to 7,000 crowd at Ratu Cakobau Park, the two star studded sides played some great football and fans were kept to the edge of their seat throughout.

Rewa applied tremendous pressure from the opening whistle and Labasa defenders were forced to commit errors in their penalty box.

Some sluggish defense by Labasa saw Rewa getting quality balls and star playmaker, Iosefo Verevou scored the winning goal for Rewa in the 14th minute after he lobbed the ball over Labasa goalkeeper, Akuila Mateisuva who came out rushing to clear the ball.

Rewa kept applying  pressure and went to the breather with the 1-0 lead.

Labasa tried hard to equalize but stubborn Rewa defense ensured Labasa was kept at bay.

Rewa's coach Marika Rodu says the aim now is to win back to back tournaments this year.

Labasa's coach Gurjit Singh says they tried their best but just could not score.

Meanwhile, Lautoka will face Nadi in the second semi-final at 3pm today at Churchill Park and you can catch the live commentary on Radio Sargam on 103.4FM.
