Nadi’s Antonio Tuivuva (No. 10) celebrates with Samuela Drudru after scoring for Nadi

Rewa soccer team came from two goals down to hold Ba to a 2 all draw in the Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants Soccer tournament at Ratu Cakobau Park.

The Men in Black opened the account in the 25th minute of the first half after Malakai Tiwa dived from inside the penalty box to head the ball pass diving Rewa goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau from a Abbu Zahid cross.

Ba increased their lead after Avinesh Swamy scored from free kick.

The hosts pulled one back from a Iosefo Verevou penalty after Ba defender Jone Vesikula handled the ball inside the penalty box.

The Delta Tigers came back strongly in the second half and veteran Lorima Dau headed brilliantly into the back of the net from Verevou’s corner kick to level the scores at 2 all.

In the earlier match, Suva came from behind to hold Nadi 1‑1.

Nadi’s Antonio Tuivuna opened the account in the first half after receiving a neat pass from Samuela Drudru.

Suva came back strongly after the breather and levelled scores from Napolioni Qasevakatini’s bullet shot.

In the second match of the day, Labasa proved too strong for Nadroga beating them 2‑0.

The Babasiga Lions scored their first goal from Taione Kerevanua's penalty in the first half.

The Reds applied pressure in the second half and Christopher Wasasala made it 2‑0 from a well‑timed header.

Labasa team captain Taniela Waqa was shown a red card after committing a foul on a Nadroga player inside the penalty box resulting in Nadroga getting a penalty.

Nadroga’s Anish Khem stood forward to take the kick but could not put it into the back of the net as the scores remained 2‑0.

Waqa will now miss Labasa’s next game against Rewa.

In the first match of the BOG, Tailevu Naitasiri surprised all with a much improved performance after holding Lautoka 0‑0.

Tailevu Naitasiri had a best chance to score from the penalty spot but could not take the advantage.

In today’s matches, Nadroga will play Ba at 1pm, Suva will face Tailevu Naitasiri at 3pm, Nadi will clash with Lautoka at 5pm while the last game of day two will see Labasa up against hosts Rewa at 7pm.
