Reports of All Blacks and Crusaders midfielder Ryan Crotty signing with the Kubota Spears in Japan are not true.
In fact the 30‑year‑old Crotty has options, but he has not yet decided where he is playing in the future as he begins his 11th year as a Crusader.
Should Crotty decide this year is his last in New Zealand, he will join fellow Crusaders veteran Owen Franks, who yesterday confirmed he would play for Northampton after the World Cup in Japan.
Meanwhile the Crusaders will take on the Blues at 6.35 tonight while the Waratahs take on the Hurricanes at 8.45pm.
The Sunwolves also face the Sharks at 10.55 tonight.
The Bulls meet the Stormers at 3.15am tomorrow while the Lions face the Jaguares at 9.40am tomorrow.
In matches played last night, the Highlanders came from behind to defeat the Chiefs 30-27 while the Rebels beat the Brumbies 34-27.
