With the start of Super Rugby five weeks away, the Melbourne Rebels are looking forward to a much-improved side as they welcome back some Wallabies reps into their side including Marika Koroibete and Sefa Naivalu.
New coach Dave Wessels has a formidable list to work with in 2018.
On paper, it is a conference title-winning list and that in itself presents a unique scenario for both Melbourne fans and Wessels.
On the wings, Melbourne are, once again, spoilt for choice. Naivalu had a torrid 2017 through injury but when fully fit, there are few more exhilarating wingers in Super Rugby. He has blinding speed, the ability to bust tackles and a sturdy defensive game.
He will form half of a dynamic duo with Koroibete who went from Wallabies rookie to Wallabies star in 2017.
Some of the big names who are joining the Rebels this year including Will Genia, Billy Meakes, Reece Hodge, Colby Faingaa and Adam Coleman.
The Rebels will take on the Reds on the 23rd of next month in their opening game.
