The Melbourne Rebels who were at risk of being eliminated from the Super Rugby competition this season are now leading the Overall Super Rugby standings after Round 4 of the competition.
The Australian Conference leaders who are still undefeated lead with 15 points.
In second place are the Lions with 15 points but they are second due to points difference while in third place are the Hurricanes with 10 points.
Round 4 is being called the round of upsets with the Hurricanes beating the Crusaders 29-19, the Jaguares defeating the Waratahs 38-28 and the Blues overcoming the Lions 38-35.
In other results, the Highlanders beat the Stormers 33-15, Rebels beat the Brumbies 33-10, Reds defeated the Bulls 20-14 and the Sharks thrashed the Sunwolves 50-22.
In games next week, the Chiefs meet the Bulls at 6.35pm Friday, the Highlanders meet the Crusaders at 6.35pm while the Brumbies meet the Sharks at 8.45pm Saturday.
The Stormers meet the Blues at 1.05am next Sunday, the Lions meet the Sunwolves at 3.15am next Sunday, Reds meet the Jaguares at 9.40am next Sunday while the Waratahs meet the Rebels at 5.05pm next Sunday.
