The Coastal Ratu Filise rugby side wants to restore some lost pride in this week’s Fiji Bitter Marist 7s.

Ratu Filise last won the Marist 7s title in 1997 with experienced players like the late Aminiasi Naituyaga, Luke Erenavula, Fero Lasagavibau and current coach Etika Tovilevu.

Tovilevu says they are coming with two teams, Coastal Ratu Filise 1 and 2.

Tovilevu says they will try and better their performance this year and will play their hearts out and hope to learn at the same time.

The Namatakula based side will field some experienced players like Sireli Tani, Vio Batibasaga and Kalaveti Cavukai.

The Ratu Filise side beat Redrock in the Bowl final last year.

Ratu Filise 1 is pooled with Wadigi Rugby Club, Trail Blazers and Nawaka.

The 40th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s kicks off at 8am tomorrow at the ANZ Stadium.
