Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s new find Sakeo Raloa is expected to feature for the Police 7s team in the 42nd Fiji Bitter Marist 7s next weekend.

Coach Manasa Bari has named some big names to his side including Raloa, Sitiveni Waqa, Mitieli Nacagilevu, Livai Ikanikoda and Keponi Paul.

It has been 19 years since Police last held the Marist 7s title.

In 1999, they drew nil-all with Waimanu to share the title while in 1985, they defeated Nabua 15-3 to win the final.

In the past 41 years of Marist 7s, Police have only won three tournaments in 1980, 1985 and 1999.

Police spokesperson Jokatama Qio confirms that they will also include some new players who want to showcase their talents and impress the national selectors.

Qio says preparations are going well in their camp and they will not rest on their recent success in the Coral Coast 7s and Nawaka 7s.

The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held next Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium.
