Alivereti Raka has scored the fastest hat-trick in 20 years in the Champions Cup for Clermont as they beat Saracens 46-14.
It took the 21-year-old winger just 25 minutes to rack up three tries, before then assisting a contender for try of the year in what has been a truly stunning performance.
With Saracens having defeated Clermont in May, the French side went about exacting their revenge quickly.
Raka latched on to Isaia Toeava’s pass before touching down on 12 minutes.
He then crossed the line again with 21 minutes on the clock.
A well‑rehearsed move from the line‑out saw Morgan Parra lay the ball off to Raka, who took off like lightning before touching down for a record‑breaking hat‑trick and a 21‑point lead.
Raka was somehow not finished, as he made a stunning assist on 45 minutes to set up a real contender for the try of the year – he ran a solid line before sprinting up the field, sidestepping all in his path with ease before offloading for Flip Van Der Merwe to go over and hand the French side a 31‑7 lead.
