South Sydney Rabbitohs defeated the Paramatta Eels 42-24 to climb to top spot in NRL points table.
Although the Rabbitohs share 22 competition points with the Dragons and Panthers, their commanding win gave them a far better points differential. So they will stay kings of the castle for at least 24 hours until the Penrith Panthers play the Roosters.
The Rabbitohs have now slammed seven straight wins in the middle of the season for the first time since 1994.
Meanwhile in other matches tonight, the Cowboys will take on the Warriors at 8pm while the Roosters will face the Panthers at 9.55pm.
Tomorrow, the Bulldogs will play the Titans at 5pm, the Dragons will face the Sea Eagles at 7.30pm while the Sharks will take on the Broncos at 9.35pm.
On Sunday, the Knights will take on the Storm at 5pm while the Wests Tigers will play the Raiders at 6.10pm on Monday.
