Team Fiji’s camp at the Commonwealth Games came to a standstill last night when the Queen’s Baton visited the camp for 30 minutes.
This was done as the Baton did not make a stop to Fiji on its Relay around the Commonwealth countries.
Chef de Mission, Lyndall Fisher was emotional while receiving the torch and seeing the excitement from the athletes which has been a major boost.
Team Fiji is also looking forward to welcome the Government Delegation led by the President, Ratu Epeli Nailatikau who arrived in Glasgow last night.
Team Fiji’s Lawn Bowl, Weight Lifting and Swimming teams will compete tomorrow morning.
Banuve Tabakaucoro and Younese Bese are expected to hit the tracks at 2.30pm on Sunday in the 100 and 200 metres heats.
The Sevens Rugby competition kicks off at 9.32pm on Sunday.
