After suffering three defeats in a row in the opening matches of the Eastern Zone Secondary School Rugby Competition earlier this year, the QVS U17 rugby team knew that they had to dig deep to stay in the competition.
These were the sentiments shared by the Queen Victoria School U17 flanker Semi Saubula after they were crowned the U17 champions at the Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship.
Saubulu thanked the QVS class of ‘85 for the undying support helped edge Lelean Memorial School 9-8 in the U17 final.
QVS U17 is the only team apart from RKS that won a title in the Deans Competition while RKS retained the other five titles which includes the U14,U15,U16,U19 and U18 title.
