QVS Blue Ribbon winner gets disqualified in Tailevu Zone

Last year’s Coca-Cola Games Blue Ribbon event winner, Ilaitia Waqa was disqualified from the 100m senior boys heats at the Tailevu Athletics Zone today and he will not feature in the Coca-Cola Games 100 metres.

The Queen Victoria School sprinter made a false start.

Meanwhile, Sailosi Tubuilagi of RKS clocked the fastest manual time of 11.51s in the 100m senior boys heats.

Tubuilagi also won the 100m Senior Boys final in the last hour.

Gwen Raoba of Dawasamu Secondary School won the 100m senior girls final and clocked a manual time of 13.87s.

Ratu Kadavulevu School is currently leading in the Boys Division with 14 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze, QVS is in second place with 9 gold, 8 silver and 8 bronze while Wainibuka Secondary School is in third place with 6 gold and 4 silver and 3 Bronze.

Naiyala High School is leading in the Girls Division with 6 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze, Tailevu North Secondary School is second with 4 gold and 5 silver and 4 bronze while Wainibuka Secondary School is in third place with 3 gold and 6 silver and 6 Bronze.
