“Go and make us proud.”
That was the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau’s message to the athletes who will be representing Fiji at the Commonwealth Games this month.
Team Fiji presented their i-tatau yesterday and Ratu Epeli told the athletes that Fiji missed out on the last commonwealth games but that should not affect their performance.
Ratu Epeli said as professional athletes they should be ready all the time.
The President has also assured Team Fiji that he will be watching the games in Glasgow.
The first group of athletes will leave for Glasgow next Monday.
The Commonwealth Games will be held from the 23rd of this month to August 3rd.
