Former Lautoka soccer President, Shalendra Prasad who will be contesting the President’s position in the Fiji Football Association AGM tomorrow said he will make a number of changes in the Fiji FA constitution if he wins.

Prasad said if he gets in, he will change the Fiji FA Statutes which will allow anybody to contest the President’s position provided they have some experience in sports or running of an organisation.

He said he will open the eligibility criteria which will allow even a referee or a coach to become the President of the Fiji FA.

Prasad has not revealed how much support he has from district associations but confirms that businessman, Babu Ratan Deo is backing him.

The Fiji FA annual congress will be held tomorrow in Ba where Prasad will contest with Rajesh Patel for the President’s post.

Meanwhile, the second round of Courts IDC will resume on Wednesday at Govind Park with Nadi playing Dreketi at 1pm.

Rewa will face Nadroga at 3pm, Lautoka will play Suva at 5.30pm and Ba will take on Labasa at 7.30pm.

You can catch the live commentaries of the Rewa-Nadroga, Lautoka-Suva and Ba-Labasa matches on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
