Vodafone Fiji Bati coach Mick Potter believes Kevin Naiqama's outstanding captaincy is a key reason behind the Bati's good start to the Rugby League World Cup.
Potter says ever since he has known Naiqama he has always been a leader in himself.
Potter says Naiqama speaks well, he does not talk rubbish and he gets to the point very quickly.
The coach adds that Naiqama’s knowledge of rugby league is very good so there is no better captain adding there are other senior players that offer support in the team.
Fiji will be looking for a win to qualify for the quarters and even a narrow defeat would be enough for them to progress to a quarter final against the loser of the New Zealand and Tonga match.
The Fiji Bati will take on Italy at 9.40 tonight.
New Zealand faces Tonga at 5pm tomorrow while Samoa and Scotland meet 8pm tomorrow.
Australia will play Lebanon at 10pm tomorrow.
