Police are the new champions of the Mana Whey Fiji Coral Coast 7s after thrashing last years champions, First Light Taveuni 34-7 at Lawaqa Park this afternoon.

Police overpowered First Light Taveuni and starved them of possession.

Sakeo Railoa got a hat trick for Police while Saimoni Ratuisoa scored two tries for Police.

Ratu Meli Kuruisaru also got a try for Police.

Police team captain, Sitiveni Waqa says they have learnt their lesson after being defeated by First Light Taveuni during their pool match yesterday.

Lemeki Tuirabe scored the lone try for Taveuni.

Police led 17-7 at halftime.

Meanwhile, in the cup semifinals,  First Light Taveuni beat Ratu Filise 19-0 while Police defeated McDonald’s Saunaka 12-7 in a close encounter.
