Vodafone Fiji Under 20 soccer coach Frank Farina has said his players were not prepared for the conditions when they played against Hungary in a buildup match in Hamilton yesterday where Fiji was thrashed 7-0.
However, Farina said he is happy that Fiji soccer is experiencing something totally new where the players are getting to know what is required to prepare for a World Cup.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Auckland, Farina said they are looking forward for their first match of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup which will be against Germany at 1pm next Monday in Christchurch.
It is currently 11 degrees Celsius in Christchurch and chilly conditions are expected to continue into next week.
