Vodafone Fiji 7s coach Ben Ryan has stated that players who perform will earn a contract with the Fiji Rugby Union under the new scheme of contracting 7s players.

The FRU have not announced the names of the players but Ryan said there are certain criteria in which the players will be selected according to the different category of the contract.

Ryan added apart from this the players will also be given daily allowance and bonuses.

He said with the contracting scheme coming in, it will improve the performance of the team and the players to work hard towards achieving a contract.

Some of the players who are expected to be in Ryan’s list include Osea Kolinisau, Pio Tuwai, Semi Kunatani, Leo Naikasau, Ropate Labalaba, Jerry Tuwai, Emosi Mulevoro, Waisea Nacuqu and Vatemo Ravouvou.

The names of the contracted players are expected to be announced next month.

Ryan will start training with the Vodafone Fiji 7s team in September.
