The soccer players who have tested positive for marijuana will be banned from playing soccer for 2 years.
Fiji Football Association President, Rajesh Patel says the players will have to undergo rehabilitation and will have to send a drug test report to Fiji Football Association every month stating they are clean.
He adds that should the players test positive for marijuana within the two years they will be banned for life from the Fiji Soccer Arena.
This has been confirmed following the decision made by the Fiji Football Association during their board meeting earlier today.
Earlier, ten soccer players had tested positive for marijuana in the Vodafone Fiji FACT and Inkk Mobile BOG.
These players were suspended for a month and were cleared to play again when the next test came back negative after a month.
Meanwhile, Fiji FA CEO Mohammed Yusuff says that there are issues around Roy Krishna’s coming to join the Fiji Soccer Team.
He adds that Wellington Phoenix Manager Darije Kalezi_ has disallowed Krishna to play for Fiji.
However, Fiji FA is still in talks with Wellington Phoenix FC if a possibility that Krishna may join the team.
