All Blacks Head Coach, Steve Hansen says that a place in the World Cup squad is possible for 36-year-old Ma’a Nonu.
Nonu scored twice in the Blues narrow loss to the Chiefs in Hamilton and has been in very good form since his return to Super Rugby.
Hanson says that midfield is an area where there would be plenty of competition but Nonu is staking his claim strongly.
Meanwhile, Ma'a Nonu says his family has played a big part in his coming back to New Zealand.
In the matches this week, on Friday, the Chiefs meet the Lions at 7.35pm and the Sunwolves take on the Hurricanes at 10pm.
On Saturday, the Sharks take on the Reds at 1.05am, the Blues will take on the Highlanders at 7.35pm this Saturday, the Waratahs will play the Rebels at 9.45pm while the Stormers will take on the Brumbies at 1.05am Sunday.
