Less than a month after announcing he was returning home to chase his dream of playing for England, Blues first‑five eighth Piers Francis has been named in Eddie Jones squad to tour Argentina in June.
The 26‑year‑old is one of 15 uncapped players in the 31‑strong squad, which also includes New Zealand‑born Denny Solomona, a former Melbourne Storm under‑20 representative.
Francis, who will play for the Northampton Saints in England's Premiership, and the other uncapped players have no doubt been fast‑tracked into the side with 16 players unavailable due to the British and Irish Lions' upcoming tour of New Zealand.
Kiwi‑born hooker Dylan Hartley, arguably the unluckiest player to miss out on the Lions, will captain the team.
The Blues are on a bye this weekend in the Super Rugby.
Meanwhile the Hurricanes will play the Brumbies at 7.35 tonight.
