Blues hooker James Parsons has denied a Sanzaar statement which stated that he received an apology from Owen Franks after the incident that led to the Crusaders prop's two‑week ban.
At a Sanzaar Foul Play Review Committee hearing, Franks pleaded guilty to striking Parsons in the head during the Crusaders' 32‑24 win over the Blues at Eden Park last Saturday.
Sanzaar stated All Blacks prop Franks was facing a four‑week suspension but his ban was halved due to his good disciplinary record over an extensive playing history.
Franks escaped punishment on the field on Saturday but was later cited before receiving his ban.
The 30-year-old will serve his suspension and be available for the first All Blacks test against France at Eden Park on June 9.
The Blues are on a bye this week.
Meanwhile, the Crusaders will take on the Hurricanes at 7.35pm tomorrow.
