A class action lawsuit filed against Manny Pacquiao is seeking in excess of US$5 million from the boxer for his alleged failure to disclose a shoulder injury before the fight with Floyd Mayweather.
The lawsuit was filed in a Nevada court by two Las Vegas residents for the "Fight of the Century" bout won by Mayweather.
Pacquiao's team has called the lawsuit “frivolous”, but privately was understood to have been expecting such a move with one team member saying "people will sue over anything”.
Meanwhile, Mayweather has said he is willing to give Pacquiao a rematch following the Filipino boxer’s disclosure that a shoulder injury hampered his performance.
