Shop N Save Athletics Fiji athletes for the Pacific Games dominated their weekend competition at the ANZ National Stadium this morning.
Younis Bese took out the Womens 100 metres Open with a time of 12.65 seconds, second was Sisilia Sevula with 12.92 seconds while Heleina Young finished in third place with 13.20 seconds.
Francis Kirkirikula won the Men’s 100 metres open with a time of 11.46 seconds while Albert Miller Junior finished in second place with a time of 11.68.
In the Women’s 400 metres Open, Elenani Tinai finished first with a time 58.6 seconds.
In second place was Ana Kaloucava with a time of 59.3 seconds and third was Alaiwalu Rayawa with a time of 59.3 seconds.
Ratu Tira Narara won the Mens 400 metres open with a time of 48.7 seconds while Aaron Powell with a time of 51.7 seconds settled for second place.
Team Fiji track and field athletes for the Pacific Games are using these weekend competitions to prepare themselves for the competition in Papua New Guinea.
The Pacific Games will be held from the 4th to 18th of July in Papua New Guinea.
