All Blacks prop Owen Franks has been ruled out of the second Bledisloe Cup test in Dunedin on Saturday through injury.
Nepo Laulala will come into the starting 15 with Jeff Toomaga‑Allen moving into the 23.
Franks was in line for a rest after Saturday's match.
Meanwhile Wallabies captain Michael Hooper has backed the concept of a pre‑Bledisloe Cup warm‑up game in a bid to help close the gap between his side and the dominant All Blacks.
For the second straight year the Wallabies were smoked in Sydney, with a late Australian rally providing scant consolation for long‑suffering fans in a 54‑34 defeat on Saturday.
The Brumbies were Australia’s only Super Rugby quarterfinalists and therefore coach Michael Cheika had his squad together for a month’s Bledisloe build‑up.
Yet curiously there was no warm‑up game scheduled to help build new combinations and a tweaked defensive system.
The All Blacks will host the Wallabies at 7.35pm Saturday.
