The Crusaders' chances of a third straight Super Rugby title could be in line for a boost, with coach Scott Robertson hinting at the return of All Blacks duo Owen Franks and Codie Taylor for the upcoming playoffs.
The Crusaders have guaranteed themselves home advantage for the upcoming playoffs, now with a bye week before the first knockout round.
Coach Robertson says that his side could be bolstered by the Test match front rowers.
Robertson says in just over a week's time, they have got some big decisions about their squad with Owen Franks and Codie Taylor coming back.
31-year-old Franks has played just four matches so far this season after a shoulder injury, while 28‑year-old Taylor is coming back from a broken finger.
Meanwhile, with the likes of All Blacks winger George Bridge also return from an enforced rest week, Robertson also says that he has some work to do in deciding his best side for the first round of playoffs in two weeks.
In Super Rugby this week, the Highlanders will take on the Waratahs at 7.35pm Friday while the Rebels will face the Chiefs at 9.45pm Friday.
The Jaguares will host the Sunwolves at 10.10am Saturday, the Hurricanes will take on the Blues at 7.35pm Saturday while the Brumbies will face the Reds at 9.45pm Saturday.
The Stormers will host the Sharks at 1.05am Sunday while the Bulls will take on the Lions at 3.15am Sunday.
