McDonald's Fiji Coral Coast 7s Tournament Director Jay Whyte says that overseas teams understand that coming to Fiji and winning is very difficult and almost impossible.
Ahead of the tournament next month, Whyte says teams from overseas are using Fiji as the best place to develop their teams.
He says that the Aussie Development Side is coming to the event to use it as a real platform to develop their side ahead of the 2020 Olympics.
Whyte also says that Hong Kong will take part in the tournament for the third time next month and their team continues to improve.
Whyte confirms that overseas teams such as Aussie Development, Hong Kong and Stars USA have qualified to participate in the Men’s Division.
42 teams will be participating in the tournament which include 16 men’s, 10 women’s and 16 youth teams.
The 4-day 7s tournament will take place from the 16th to the 19th of next month at Lawaqa Park.
Former Springbok and Rugby 15s World Cup winner, Bryan Habana is the Tournament Ambassador.
