Organizers of the Chiefs vs Crusaders Super Rugby match have inspected the facilities at the ANZ Stadium and they have given their seal of approval for the match to be held in Fiji.
Promoter Matt Davey from Fortress Information Systems inspected the ANZ Stadium with officials from the Chiefs franchise.
He says they are highly impressed with the condition of the ground.
A representative from the Chiefs, Stacey Adden-brooke says this will be an important match for both the Chiefs and the Crusaders as it would be in the middle of the season.
Fiji Sports Council CEO, Litiana Loabuka says they have also given their approval for the use of the lighting system at the ANZ Stadium.
Loabuka says the ground at the ANZ Stadium will not be used from the month of June in preparation for the game in July.
She says both teams are expected to arrive in Fiji in the last week of June to prepare for the game.
Organizers will also be picking eight children between the age of 10-14 in Fiji to be ball keepers for the match.
The Chiefs will meet the Crusaders at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Friday 1st July at 7.30pm.
The government has allocated $2.2 million for the hosting of the match in Fiji.
