The Fiji soccer team to face New Zealand.

A number of top players have been left out of the 20 member Vodafone Fiji soccer team that will play two crucial matches against the All Whites in the 2018 World Cup Qualifier.

They include players like Iosefo Verevou, Tevita Waranivalu, Savenaca Nakalevu, Edwin Sahayam and Ravinesh Karan Singh.

When questioned, National Team Director Tarunesh Reddy says coach Christophe Gamel has the final say on the selection and they stand by him.

Reddy says some of these players may have discipline issues while others may just not fit in Gamel’s team.

He says the sole decision rests with Gamel.

We will be speaking to Gamel later today.

The Vodafone Fiji soccer team will play New Zealand in a World Cup qualifying match at 1pm tomorrow at Churchill Park and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station Radio Sargam.

The side includesRoy Krishna, Setareki Hughes, Avinesh Suwamy, Osea Vakatalesau, Simione Tamanisau, Samuela Drudru, Rinal Prasad, Epeli Saukuru, Beniamino Mateinaqara, Taniela Waqa, Dave Radrigai, Peniame Drova, Kolinio Sivoki, Jone Vesikula, Remueru Takiata, Ilaitia Tuilau, Josateki Tamudu, Kavaia Rawaqa, James Hoyt and Vereti Dickson.
