‘No one in the Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team is a newbie anymore as they head into this weekend’s Hamilton 7s’.
Coach Gareth Baber highlighted this to Fijivillage in an interview earlier today, saying that Aminiasi Tuimaba, Vilimoni Botitu and Ratu Meli Derenalagi have got a little bit of reputation and he continues to remind them of the good things they have.
The three have represented Fiji in the last two tournaments and Baber says they continue to develop.
Baber is confident that the team are at their best and ready to defend their title.
The team will have their last training session later this afternoon before they go into a community engagement in the evening.
They will recover tomorrow and will tour the Hamilton ground on Friday morning to familiarize themselves with the venue.
Fiji will take on Wales in their first match of the Hamilton 7s at 10.52am Saturday, they will then face Argentina at 2.42pm and will take on Australia at 6.52pm in their last pool game this Saturday.
The cup quarters will start at 10.36am this Sunday, the semifinals will kick off at 3.16pm and the final will start at 7.10pm this Sunday.
