There is still no confirmation from the New Zealand Players Association on whether the players in the Crusaders and the Hurricanes side have agreed on bringing their Super Rugby match to Fiji.
Talks are currently underway but the Fiji National Sports Commission has confirmed to Fijivillage that they are still waiting for the outcome of the meeting between the players and the New Zealand Players Association.
Sports Commission Chairman Peter Mazey said that the whole of Fiji will love to see two Super Rugby giants facing off at the ANZ Stadium and a big draw card for the match will be the number of All Blacks featuring in both sides.
It is understood that an unnamed sponsor has agreed to underwrite the match to be held in Fiji and that the Fiji Government has also promised the Crusaders a financial reward.
Some of the All Blacks that are expected to feature for the two side include, Captain Richie McCaw, Kieran Reid, Owen Franks, Luke Romano, Sam Whitelock, Collin Slade and Ryan Crotty for the Crusaders while the Hurricanes will see Ma’a Nonu, Julian Savea, Conrad Smith, Jeremy Thrush and Beauden Barret.
The Crusaders will play the Hurricanes on the 26th of May.
