Netball Fiji receives boost from Digicel Fiji and Punjas

Netball Fiji received a major boost as Digicel Fiji and Punjas have today announced a joint sponsorship of the National Netball Championship to be held in Lautoka this weekend.

This is the first time that Digicel and Punjas have combined to sponsor netball in Fiji with both companies contributing $10,000 in cash and kind, taking the total sponsorship to $20,000.

Netball Fiji President Wainikiti Bogidrau said they are delighted with the sponsorship as this will help in the development of the sport in the country.

Meanwhile, Bogidrau also revealed during the press conference that former Northen Ireland Coach Kate Carpenter has been appointed as the new national coach with a three year contract.

The Digicel Punjas National Netball Championship kicks off this Friday in Lautoka.
